We work towards giving you a bike to suit your needs NOT towards giving you the bike we need to turn over.

Preparation is next on the list…

At Cycle Works, our bikes are built in the first instance by a qualified mechanic, and then given a comprehensive check and test ride by a second mechanic. Both mechanics are experienced and trained to our exacting standards. During the check & test ride, the second mechanic uses a printed full page list to ensure that nothing, safety or otherwise, is missed. Each mechanic signs off on the checklist and the Serial No. of the bike is recorded. The checklist is retained for quality control purposes. You can be sure that your bike has had the best possible preparation.

..and once you’ve found the Right Bike…

…we will take the time to set you up on your bike and show you how to use it. This includes proper use of gears, how to remove and refit the wheels, and how to use any accessories that you ve bought (pump, computer etc.) We record the serial number of your bike on your receipt and in our computer (just in case the bike is stolen). You are given a six week and a six month service (specials excluded) absolutely free. Both of these services are comprehensive and follow a printed checklist to ensure thoroughness. We want to know that our customers are riding bikes that are safe, functional and a pleasure to ride… so we write to you to remind you when these services are due.

Buying a bike is only part of the story. You might also need things like a helmet, pump, puncture kit, cycling clothes, lights etc. But there’s no need to feel pressured to get that ‘package deal’, because when you buy a bike at Cycle Works our computer will be programmed to give you an ongoing 10% discount on parts, clothing and accessories… whether you buy them with your bike, or three years later.
